Sliding Roof Bars

Post by V8mark » Mon Jul 24, 2017 9:59 am

Peeps,

Thought I'd mention that I tried my new Thule sliding roof bars over the weekend. They are really good and allow you to put stuff (bikes in my case) on and off the car without the risk of dropping stuff onto the car or worrying about the paintwork when leaning over the car etc.

Much easier and worth a look if you are buying roof bars.

They slide out from both sides too which is useful! They don't stop all the crap from falling of the bikes and onto the roof though :(

thought I'd share.....

1990 Toyota Supra 3.0 T - de-cat, HKS Boost Controller (1.4 bar max), used as a daily drive for 110k miles on original turbo!
198x Granada 2.8i Ghia X - Can't remember the exact year - but a great car!

I completely goofed and didnt take a pic with them extended :(

if you look at https://www.thule.com/en-gb/gb/roof-rac ... 1-_-891000

That will give you a good idea of how they work.

Next time I put them on the car I'll take a few pics. Note that they are a bit chunky compared with normal aero bars though.
