Engine Tuning???

Hi , just want some advice about recaps and if there worth doing??
Looking at the Revo , but at £500 + need to know am I just Wasting my time ??
Thanks for any advice.
Oh . I am going to put A Miltek on when they actually come back in to stock , dose this make any difference??

Hi Dave,

I've just had mine done at MRC and to be honest I really wouldn't bother. I think the gain was about 20bhp, some torque, not enough to notice ... other issues too that we could discuss offline if you are seriously considering it. In short the negatives outweigh the gains.

Looking at the dyno plot I think most of the gain was through removing the torque limiter on the gearbox, but I'm no expert so I could be wrong.

You might be like me and need to scratch the itch to see what is possible, but from my experience I wouldn't do it again on the B8..

The milltek on my b8.5 added 20bhp at the wheels.

I'd avoid a map purely because you then remove the option of ever being able to sell it back to audi

there is that too! and if you have any warranty left, its not worth compromising it.... IMHO

Put the cash towards an exhaust upgrade (if you haven't got one), you will enjoy the noise every time you drive it !

Thanks for the info Guys! Will just get Miltek done for now then . Just have to wait i while because they are on back order every where for some reason 😒

Don't forget JC Weldfab have a system for the B8 that's pretty epic ;)
