Managed to avoid needing to replace the P Zeros just yet as the puncture was repairable. Went to ATS and they did a really good job and for free which was an added bonus!

However, I appreciate the suggestions on sources for Tyres. I checked each one out and the Michelin PSS's appear to be very difficult to get hold of. ATS said they could definitely get them but for £297 each! Tyre Leader had the best price at £260 each however if they don't have them then there is little value in them being a lower price. I did read somewhere though that Michelin would phase out the PSS tyres next year so now is the time to buy assuming they can be sourced...

I think I spoke in haste when I said they did a really good job. Just noticed the face of one of the V-Spokes is scratched quite badly - suffice to say I'm ruing the decision to go to ATS and will be having words tomorrow...

The one they took off? Or they kerbed another driving it into the workshop?

It's the one they took off to repair. The face of two spokes have been scratched - one quite badly.

Probably why they didn't charge you anything for the puncture repair. It'll be £100 to refurbish the wheel.

Interesting to read you guys don't seem to be in any better position in the UK re either availability or pricing of PSS. Australian stock has been nearly nonexistent and when I had to replace P Zeros a couple of months ago had to use threat, blackmail and bribery to get a set sourced, eventually managed... Pricing here seems to be pretty similar to the UK.

But what a difference they made to the car - total transformation!

No, if anything I'd say PSS is more quiet than P Zero... Or maybe it's an illusion as the instant comparison is between new PSS and end of its life P Zero...

Not an illusion.

On a BMW within the household, I've just replaced 4x nearly new P Zeros 7.5mm-8mm tread depth with 4x new Michelin PSS. First drive impression was less tyre roar, but there is also less rim protection.
