Exhausts and Warranty

Post by boff » Mon Apr 13, 2015 10:56 pm

Quick update!

What do you reckon guys, anyone been refused anything due to having an aftermarket exhaust fitted? are there certain brands to avoid?

How does it affect the warranty, I'd read that some things are tightening up.

In a nutshell I had two dealers blame my exhaust for DRC knocking - a get out of jail free card "sorry sir, the non-OEM exhaust is causing the issue with your car so we can't help" Remedy, find friendly delate as I did with West London Audi.

Yeah my b5 had an exhaust, and zero dramas.

I thought this would be the way, I mean especially on these cars, no real power gains, just the NOISE

Boff, if you can get your car serviced at Jack Barclays in Wandsworth. a) they're ace & b) they embrace things like an exhaust.
