Cool

I do agree with the Ceramics not being necessary though as the standard RS brakes are fine for road use, I just think ceramics are better as an overall package.

agree

i'll be holding out for an F TYPE Coupe R AWD with the £9k Ceramics and Forged Wheel option

You understand incorrectly. Ceramics have been, and still are, available at £4k. :)

:assflash:

I don't mind being corrected if I am wrong, but in this case....
If you look at the April 2014 brochure, ceramics are listed as an option at a cost of £4,000.
If you look at the November 2014 brochure, which lists the Limited Edition models, you will find that that is a picture of ceramic brakes, but no mention of them in the options list at all.
I have been thinking for some time about changing to a B8 from my current B7, and the situation about ceramics was confirmed on the 10th February 2015, when I went to my local Audi dealer and spec'd up a new B8 RS4 with ceramics and their system rejected this as an option. The sales person then listed ceramics 'manually' somehow as an option, and it gave a delivery date of approx. July. Audi UK however contacted the dealer a couple of hours later and confirmed that new vehicles now are not available with ceramics as an option.
Just thought I would clarify the situation, unless of course Audi UK are wrong......

It may well be then that ceramics are now putting lead times out past the end of production

More than likely, given impact to RS6 builds.

They were def' available to order the week after Xmas. The dealer I got mine from had a new order available which was still spec changeable. It had the ceramics on which he untucked on the screen when putting my spec in, but I changed my mind when I saw his stock car. So he then respecced the cars options and saved it without any errors being displayed on screen.

Although, perhaps it stops the dealer when they submit a new order.
