I didn't think this conversation / thread about tyre quality or drive would end up in a dig on how good at driving each member was .....especially without provocation first
Don't be silly, that's just a bit of light hearted banter

Well I had hero levels of driving ability when I had a rear P-Zero blowout at 1.2 leptons in my old Jag. The following 4.5 hour drive back from north wales at 50 mph on the space saver with soiled underwear was not so befitting for a driving god

Anyway, I'm a huge Michelin Pilot Sport fanboy and have run versions 1,2 and 3 on a wide variety of cars and drivetrain layouts. I've been impressed with all of them and would put the GY F1 Asy2's on par with both PS2 and PS3's. Super Sports will be replacing my Goodyear’s F1's when the time comes though.

No, that was OEM sized P-Zero tyres on wheels that were factory fit, so it was all to Jaguar's specification.

I will never have Pirelli's fitted to a car again. I think a lot of Formula 1 teams would also prefer not to have Pirelli's after all the catastrophic failures last year.

Always ran Vredstein ultrec sessants on my B7, Not happy with the Pzero's on my B8, The car just feels skittish and and not really connected to the road.
The Vreds arent available in 265/30/20 but do come in 275/30/20. reckon these'll fit? anyone running 275's on 20 wheels?

Hi All

Seems that Pirelli aren't winning any friends on here then!!

Here are some alternatives for you then, I wont quote Conti or Pirelli as I think that may be a waste of time :-)

265 30 20

Vredestein Ultrac Vorti - £208.00
Michelin Pilot Sport 3 RO1 - £247.00

275 30 20

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - £206.00
Vredestein Ultrac Vorti - £220.00
Bridgestone S001 - £224.00

All prices include vat, delivery or fitting.

Just give me a shout if anything grabs your fancy...........;-)

Cheers

Little Glen

Just replaced my two fronts and went with Goodyear F1 asymmetrics 2's...decent price too as the chap had a decent discount, £307 the pair, fitted. (I think it was 25% off)
