I got mine back today... unfixed !
Apparently, callipers are on back order and are going to be another ten days. I was offered RS6 until then, but would rather have my own car back as squeaking isn't bad at all any more. As much as I enjoyed the RS6, I prefer my RS4, so it was nice to have a little blast in it tonight
I was told by dealer that Pads, Callipers, Discs and Carriers all have a 'superseded part number' so they know there's an issue.

Pity they won't let you upgrade the brakes to ceramics if you pay the difference

I've asked the guy if that's an option, so waiting to see what they come back with. I'm expecting it to be extortionate

My car's in Swindon Audi currently to have discs, calipers, pads and carriers replaced
Unfortunately, the car got stripped ready to go and when they opened the boxes, they'd packed two right front calipers instead if the pair, doh ! Audi uk are finding me a car to use as apparently they don't have any more of the updated calipers

Anyway, discs appear to identical to the ones they're replacing, but the calipers have small counter weights fitted to remove vibration

I'll keep this posted as to how they are when they finally get them fitted and what audi uk get me to use in the meantime (I did get a request in for a v10+ R8 :bigblink: )

I've had the counter weights put onto mine now and it's pretty much sorted it. I say pretty much I've heard the squeak a couple of time but it's a million times better. Doesn't sound like a bus anymore :D

They're still having a nightmare with my car. Took them until today to get parts delivered and when they opened the box, it was wrong parts again !
Based on last times effort to get them, I'm expecting at least another week of them having my car

Funny you should say that as I spoke with Audi uk today (who've been responsible for the Jess up with parts) and they're calling me tomorrow to see if they have their v10+ available for me until mine's finally fixed
Be a good chance for the wife to try it too as she quite liked it at the dealer last week, which I honestly didn't expect
