Osir carbon fibre

Post by hunter » Tue Nov 26, 2013 5:00 pm

Hi guys

Well as I now patiently sit and wait for our RS4 delivery next year I have been looking at some small bits and bobs to make it my own. Now finding aftermarket parts stateside probably will never happen as they are not getting it as far as I am aware. But they do get the B8 RS5 and I quite like the look of the osir carbon fibre front spoiler and rear diffuser but does anyone know if these will just be straight bolt on pieces as I assume they share a lot of the same components ie front bumper, break bumper diffuser, front grill etc

Cheers

if you're into that , you could go for selective carbon wrap which would be a lot cheaper, protect the paint underneath etc..

Funny you should mention that, I was thinking about the clear film on the bonnet to protect it from stone chips as I know how badly red cars can show up stone chips

If you're serious about clear film then get the best.....look for the self healing film.

I put my ex Porker through a gravel trap at 50+ and the paint survived with no serious rash.

^ or this stuff (check out the vid in the page): http://www.draykefields.co.uk/ppf/

I've got our new Alpina booked in for a new vehicle detail, window tint & paint clear film with them when it arrives. Great reviews on this forum too

Ideally I need someone up in Scotland that can do it, ideally Aberdeen as I would love to get it on before the car turns a wheel

go onto detailing world forum - they have a section there on detailers and locations plus you can usually read up on them.

Not sure if polished bliss do this sort of thing, but I'm sure they'll put you in touch with someone that does. My brother lives up in Old Meldrum and swears by them...He's about 3 washes away from getting the cotton buds out to clean it...

If you find anyone, let me know, as it'd be something i'd consider too. want to keep the car pristine!

Paintshield have the necessary transport and full insurance to collect/take to Peterborough/apply/return for a reasonable fee. Expect to pay circa £3500 for a fully wrapped B8 in 'self healing'.
They have all the patterns from a car they've already done earlier this year. Call 01733 390777

A few of us on the Abarh forum have had some problems with the paintshield film too which is why you might do better going somewhere else. To be fair to paintshirld they've been good on their warranty, you just have to take the car back to them to fix though
