High connect

Post by hunter » Fri Nov 22, 2013 3:37 pm

Hi guys well it's road test time tomorrow and Sunday and all going well and I actually get on with the s tronic box then my order will be going in . The million dollar question is the exact spec and I think I have it pretty nailed but the one I am swithering about is the high connect, now having google maps sounds good but for the guys that have the option and are using it......... Is it worth speccing it ?

Cheers guys

So what does it actually give you apart from the google maps, the configuration guide is a bit vague as it mentions live weather etc, any screen shots doodlebug ?

Got it on mine so if your demo has it just connect up your mobile and use the mobile date and have a play..... Was not that over whelmed at first and would not go to the bother of buying a separate SIM card but once connected google maps , weather and a news feed work well.
But the really cool part is when the petrol light comes on if you are connected it will give directions to the nearest petrol station but I think a tom tom would do this as well ?
If the price of this obtain is not a deal breaker then you might as well go for it because you would only regret it if you don't
Plus it's another toy to play with.......we need these toys ,

Ok that's my 2p worth and have fun tomorrow

That particular feature isn't unique to the high connect. My Hdd nav does this too

It's not a deal breaker john but the misses have given me a strict limit so I am just trying to get the best spec, cause it may come down to a colour choice or high connect, regarding the petrol station info my hdd nav on our SQ5 does this too. Looking forward to the overnight test drive and even going to see how the new pram will fit in the boot ........... See a practical test :biggrin3:

That shouldn't be a surprise?

If you want a big boot then C7 is the beastie.
