Demonstrator cars

Dealer demo cars are arriving in the next couple of weeks
My local dealer's booked me in for a 24hr test drive, so I'll post up some pics and a report then

Anyone else have one booked ?

Not sure what spec they're getting
I heard from them that there's been a delay in customer cars (R8's also) due to a fire in the engine manufacturing facility ?

Yes they are delayed due to fire at a supplier factory

Mine should have been built a couple of weeks ago, now being built in a few weeks time

Audi putting me in a loan car this week

Don't think dealers are getting their own demos, probably just cars from Audi UK an I guess the ones that many of us thrashed at millbrook/oulton - half had the sport pack and half didn't

That's right, same cars used at the ride and drive and press events last month.. They will eventually be sold as ex demos..

If there's a blue one with sports pack, then any owner would do well to get the underside checked as I we'll and truly grounded it out on the jump on the millbrook handling circuit

I don't think you're the only one!! I abused the car over that hump every time! Quite glad to make it around the corner on the final lap.

The car arrived at the dealer today and it's a brand new car not an ex AUK demonstrator as expected
They'll PDI it early next week and I'll then get it from then

I pick the car up Wednesday pm for a 24hr test drive
I've got a route planned for Thursday up into north Wales. So I'll give it a thorough test out and then work out whether to order one or not then
We've agreed a spec and price on a car already. So it's just a case of whether I really like it enough to part with 60k
Fwiw, the trade in they offered on my b7 RS4 was truly shocking

so it'll go on private sale early next year instead (one of the added benefits of a 5month lead time car)
