2002 S8 Headlight and oil level warnings

Hi All
A colleague at work has a 2002 S8 which his dealer has changed the headlights on after a cambelt change and noticing there was slight corrosion inside them.
Anyway, they have messed something up so that the 'Dynamic Range Control' - levelling I guess - has stopped working on the headlights. It has been back a few times without success.
Now they think it has been fixed but they do not move when parked on a slope.
As a coincidence, the warning light test sequence on the dashborad does not "test" the DRC or the "oil level low" and seems to skip them when running through and comparing with the handbook.
The Dealer says the car tests all of the other systems but not these two whcih sounds strange.
Does anyone have any experience of this or be able to prove either way please.
Many thanks
Simon
