Back from her refurbishment

After buying the S8 a year or so ago for a shopping car, there were dents and scratches, I decided it was too good for that, so we set about making her as glorious as she once was. She had a full strip down and back to aly paint. The wheels where then painted to finish off the work.

Thought I would share some pics hee.

The main mechanical works were done by JJB Motors in York, who are excellent . The car had replacement chassis parts, brakes, bushes etc. the interior was already mint with the previous owner adding the updated nav, DAB and digital TV.

Hope you enjoy.

Cheers

Not a fan of wood interiors but I've been a fan of all shape S8s since watching Ronin!! Nice car (other than the wood).

Thanks.

The wood was original on the day, so will keep it.

The car is a really nice car so I am slowly getting back to a 95% car.

Cheers

I get the whole OE spec thing, and I know I'm like a broken record (that nobody wants to hear anymore), and I know it'll be worth less once modified but I'd drop it, lose the wood and chrome and paint the wheels dark grey. Gangstaaaaaaa!!!!

I took your advice and finally bought some FE 20" wheels, so now with the whole family and some sand in the boot, it looks dropped......

Looks good, very similar to mine - what green is that? How many miles now and are you on the A8parts forum yet?

And I notice that you have a full complement of switches above the RNS - only S8 owners will understand that. :bigblink:

As for the comments about the wood trim, just ignore the lower orders, they don't understand real quality.
