Fuel Consumption

Just wondering what everyone else is getting for average fuel consumption as I seem to be getting what I consider poor fuel economy.
Car has done 3500 miles, seems to perform as it should, is run exclusively on Shell V Power and rarely driven hard. Predominantly driven in D mode. Fuel consumption gauge appears accurate when comparing with brim to brim calculations. Average fuel consumption seems to be around the 21/22 mpg. Did a roundtrip 210 mile motorway journey last week using cruise at 70mph with light motorway traffic and got 25mpg which is nowhere hear the overall combined consumption quoted figure of 31 mpg.

Would get 28 on most fills. Range 300 plus, best 360 miles on a full tank.
Car has 15k miles now and is better.

32 is massive for a 350bhp car

my R32 would get 25-26 at the same speed
anyway if i gave a <beep> about fuel economy i would have bought a prius or some other beige POS

Rarely driven hard? How the hell do you drive that and not give it the beans?
How about trying Tesco 99 for a few fills and comparing?

9 litres is two gallons
100km is 62 miles
So 31mpg is about the same as 100km to 9 litres.
Sounds about right to me.

Car is driven mostly by my other half - she did not pass her test until later in life and went straight from her first car - a 1 litre Nissan Micra to the RS3. I would be concerned if she was giving it the beans.
I drive it on longer runs when we are both out and drove it quite a bit whilst it was running in.
From what I can see from other RS3 owners posts, it looks like I am correct in that the car is well down on fuel consumption particularly non urban driving.

32?! I'm lucky to get 22! The price you pay for a V8 and torque from 1000 rpm....
