If your not selling up soon this won't matter to you. Great news for everyone else.

My local Audi dealer has had a brand new one in their showroom for the last 4 - 5 weeks. Seems they're struggling to sell it!

its 400, not 250 ... but 150 of the 400 are already sold ... so 250 left if you want one

900 is still a rare car
but yes, you could not obtain discount on a new car and so if you paid a premium a year ago, you're probably staring down the barrel of £10k depreciation in a year

It's half as rare as it was which will ensure there is always a surplus in the second hand market
Doubly upsetting for people who bought it and where told it was a run if 500
the b7 rs4 will never hold its price like the b5 because of the numbers involved 3000+ v 500

There's also a lot unsold in the network and PH
Annoying as I needed it to hold decent money as a deposit on the R8

There must be some sort of law against this.
Sell a car as a limited issue with a price tag to take in to account the fact that there is a limited supply and therefore creating a demand.
Make the original purchasers put down a large deposit so they don't miss out on the oppotunity of owning such an exclusive car and make them wait over a year for delivery of their rare car ...............
Then once the original purchasers have received and PAID FOR their pride and joy, flood the market with as many cars as you can, devaluing both the exclusivity, current market price and future selling price.

dont be silly, its priced at £39.9k which is very good value for what it is ... a similar spec'd TTRS (Sat Nav, S-Tronic, Rotors) costs £46/7k
its the idiots that paid a premium who lose out

Every owner will pay for this as the car will be worth substantially less when you resell it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the order of 5-10k over 3-5 years

£40k is a fair price for a very good car, however it is now an outdated model and the TT is a current model so no comparison.
Supply and demand dictates market prices, if Van Gough had painted thousands of pictures today they would be practically worthless, mass produced cars generally depreciate much quicker than more exclusive or limited supply cars.
It was stated that this was a limited run car which is why, I guess, there were people putting down deposits a year or more before delivery dates.
Forget about people who paid a premium to jump the queue, there are people still taking delivery of there cars ordered a year ago.
There is a word that springs to mind........Deception

Yes, it is also not been replaced by a newer model, which is arriving in showrooms as we speak.
