My VAG had a golf GTI 35 up for 37k, an S3 to my spec is 40k an R golf is 42k!! and the latest "special" edition M3 (ie fancy colour, a few options but stock performance) is a mind bending 75k!!!
Suddenly the RS3 with huge list off mechanical upgrades, low 4s 60s, practicality, high 20s mpg and £200 tax disc seams like bargain of the century for 45k
