207 so far then.

Can't wait to get it.

Dave when you had yours did it need a detail? Seen some picture of the blue RS3 that had a detail and didn't know if that was the norm for Audi paint

It's not the paint it's the dealer prep (sorry Drybeer!). Audi aren't as bad as some, just a gravel laden sponge as opposed to the full Brillo. I'd recommend a detail, I'll certainly be doing so.

Thanks for the info, would you say it's best to tell
them not to prep it? Or just let them get on with it. Sorry never brought a brand new car before

Just been emailing a detailer getting prices lol, but ideally that money could go towards a cat back exhaust :D

If you're decided upon a detail, either see if the dealer will allow the detailer to prep the car, most won't entertain this. Failing that ask the dealer for minimum prep and no wash.

Get a detail. Well worth the money.

my car is being delivered from the dealers to polished bliss with all the wrapping still on it. Even minimum prep will result in swirling in the paint as they will use manky sponges.

Sounds like a detail it is then.. Thanks for the replies.

Atleast it will be a good base and will hopefully have it booked in the week before GTi International so will look good for then.

Simon if you don't mind can you pm me on how much it's costing you for a new car detail, I've just got a price from a detailer local to me
