Anybody have any experiences good or bad with a Turbo uprgade on the RS3 engine? engine is presently being rebuilt with forged
pistons/rods, also running a 'plug and play' Syvecs ecu, we dont really want or need huge hp but probably looking to get 500/550 hp and
lower the EGT a little
All the 'usual suspects' (AET/Turbo Dynamics/Universal) offer a upgrade on the std turbo, just wondering who has tried what and the outcome
Thanks in advance

Re: RS3 Turbo Upgrade?
I'm having a TTE500 fitted in November. I've heard of people running into cooling issues on 8Ps, but those all seem to have been resolved now. There's a TTE625 available too, but since I don't have any forged bits I didn't want to risk it. The other option would be to go for maybe Garrett like Aoon has on his Nardo hatchback (a GTX3582R). I think he was around 670 on 102 fuel (figures are off the top of my head though). I can't comment on reliability at that level though.
edit - I'm talking about 8Vs, my bad

Re: RS3 Turbo Upgrade?
I purchased a Car from a Customer who had a Big Turbo build done by Andy at Storm running 2 maps (500bhp and just over 650bhp) Engine was built by Tim at Race Developments with a Owen Developments HTZ3576 Turbo, Syvecs and Intake manifold with secondary Injectors have had a few gremlins in the 10 Months I've owned it but nothing major (touch wood lol)
I'm a bit of a lay man when it comes to work been done but Andy at Storm is very helpful if you need advise.
