Re: 2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures
All of the excitement of the clubsport concept has been washed away by the final product falling at pretty much every hurdle. The only plus is that the base price is below the 8P's, but even that quickly fades to a negative once you get it past £50k with options.

Can you imagine what the price of the b9 is goin to be considering the rs3 is 50k with optionsKiteral wrote:Well I cancelled my deposit and have bought a M4 with a proper gearbox, will give the M4 two years and probably be back in a B9 RS4 then.
So see you lot then

The B8 was £15k more for the equivalent spec B7, so that make a B9 probably around £80k (I paid £53k for my B7).miatang wrote:Can you imagine what the price of the b9 is goin to be considering the rs3 is 50k with options
Audi = greedy b*st*rds
Gone: 2006 B7 RS4 Avant (Phantom Black)
Re: 2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures
^ lol. It really wasn't £15k more !
Re: 2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures
Looking at the price so the new c63 your prob not far offPetrolDave wrote:The B8 was £15k more for the equivalent spec B7, so that make a B9 probably around £80k (I paid £53k for my B7).miatang wrote:Can you imagine what the price of the b9 is goin to be considering the rs3 is 50k with options

So has anyone put in an order for the rs3 yet?
Re: 2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures
The C63 pricing is silly, it's RS6 money for the S model.miatang wrote:Looking at the price so the new c63 your prob not far offPetrolDave wrote:The B8 was £15k more for the equivalent spec B7, so that make a B9 probably around £80k (I paid £53k for my B7).miatang wrote:Can you imagine what the price of the b9 is goin to be considering the rs3 is 50k with options

I thought the RS5 was priced too high and it only came a couple years after the B7 closed books. Since then what were once 50k cars are now more like £60-70k cars.
Re: 2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures
See i paid £55k for my rs4 b5, and i've not paid much more than that for my b8
Zero Drama
Re: 2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures
55K for the B5!!!! Is that how much they were back then?
Re: 2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures
But I suppose they didnt have the finance contribution and discounts for halo products like they do now
Re: 2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures
OK maybe £52k? It certainly was well over 50 grand, bought it from Sytners, was the second / first RS4 in the country, but didn't pay over list.
Looking at that, and what the RS4 is coming for it looks like the right price. However the RS3 is just mental, especially with the launch of the Golf R Estate Today - makes a load more sense than the RS3....
....and then there's the golf r 400 - Definite choice over the RS3

Mmm, still the same disappointing car, and now the R400 appears to be a goer this seems rather redundant.

The R420 was confirmed as I was signing the paperwork for the RS3 (literally was reading the article on my phone in the dealership). For me it has the same 2 problems the normal Golf R has;doodlebug wrote:Mmm, still the same disappointing car, and now the R400 appears to be a goer this seems rather redundant.
1. It's still JUST a Golf
2. It doesn't have the 5-pot
And if the R is anything to go by, it will be common as muck!
Horse for course though.
