I suspect because its too expensive? More than the refund being offered?
Nope less than £400 retail difference... In dealership exchange or purchase wouldn't have been a problem
And as mentioned the car is now sold....it was on the sites for two weeks....

Had noticed these but neither are in the Audi dealership and therefore the Audi warranty (for what they decide it's worth) on the older ones warranty is near out and the other is audi retail plus but without the Audi backing

you have 3 years warranty no matter where you buy it from?

Correct, if standard of course....the older one of the two you listed is nigh on out as an 11/11. The other still has some warranty to run but I doubt up to what Audi would like to think of their standards hence has ended on the aftermarket .

The one I bought, at the time a smidge over 10k last oct/November, (last I saw it was a smidge over 11k) all original immaculate paint, seats never looked sat in.........not to mention the Audi 145 point check to Strict Audi standards......... (Smell that sarcasm) :audibash:

In addition to the losses already incurred from trying to fix the car.

Personally I don't see the problem. Consider any other retail environment - you buy a phone, it doesn't work, they try to fix it, can't, give you a full refund and then you ask 'a shop down the road has one I like for slightly more. Go buy it for me'.
You'd get two words with three f's back. Granted it would have been nice but if you'd have taken the money an gone to the other cars dealer you may have secured it.

Well if nothing else, the replies have shown a pretty even split about customer service , expectations for Audi and their dealers, and the views on rights and wrongs. There is definitely and arrogance and ignorance from the business manager at Slough Audi, and yet there were a few there that couldn't do enough to try and help, (a girl on service reception). (The top tech). Again, there is a division. Maybe they have it on record from years ago when they tried to f"@k me over by charging for work not carried out and they got caught. I know they won't give a toss but Slough Audi won't get anymore business from me. :bigwave:

there going to demo the EVO R golf in a couple of months, apparently 370bhp and a carbon wide body

As long as the warranty hasn't expired should be easy to extend

So ....I was right. Slough Audi have put the car up for sale on their Sytner Auction site. Bigged the car up re chipping and exhaust and turbo??? Mentioned there will be no warranty on the car but not mentioned what Audi know as the problem. Also in the time they had the car in their possession they have chipped a wheel, scratched/gouged the bumper and scratched the drivers seat. They even mentioned I didn't want to give the car back but it was me who felt it best!!! Lying cheats.

There's one in Bolton looks doable but has had paint and don't want to spend a day round trip to find it's no good. Liking the idea of waiting till the Vw golf Evo r comes out now...
