34000 was the reserve at this audi UK auction
Sold for 35000 , 1500 over cap trade
Plates said elite bodyshop, NSF tyre was new, osf was scrubbed and low.
Suspect filler in nsr door as wavy, os doors smooth in comparison.

Re: KM62XFU Daytona RS3 ex-Audi staff car
I am pretty sure it was trade (invitation only auction) - there were a few people buying loads of cars - I can almost guarantee it will be at a main dealer within a week at possibly an optimistic £39990 and with new numberplates fitted!Dave_Hedgehog wrote:buyer lined up? bought for themselves?
Too dear for a trader to buy for themselves IMHO.
There were a lot of people buying a lot of cars with someone else's money (i.e. main dealer group buyers), if what they buy doesn't sell for a profit and loses money, it aint their personal money that has been blown - plus there is a lot of willy waving - imagine a Listers Group buyer bidding against a Jardine Motors buyer - they all know each other and presumably want to out do/bid each other.
So will prices stay so perky in the run up to Christmas and in the longer term?
Some cars will be dropping out of warranty soon plus new Golf R is out mid-2014 with 300PS and £30k basic RRP!
But you can't argue with the low volumes available, very different to the B7 RS4.
If every old B7 RS4 drivers wants a year in an RS3 it could take decades to fulfill!

Re: KM62XFU Daytona RS3 ex-Audi staff car
had another look at it today, this time outside and dryish
Definitely had paint nearside, suspect whole side - a very good job but there is always something and this time it's a 'fisheye' defect under the mirror.
Nearside rear door has picked up a small scratch in the car park since yesterday
I think there was also a bit of masking tape tucked deeped down at the base of the windscreen.
Front bumper really chippy too for the miles.

ANYONE WITH AN RS3, can you check something for me?
If you look at the base of the windscreen by the passenger side wing (took away down by the back corner of the bonnet), should you be able to see the seam sealer where the a-pillar and the inner wings join?
Or is it clad with plastic?
On this car you see the seam sealer which seems odd but could be normal.

Available from 1/11/13, why the delay?!
