RS3 Jack

Hello All

I needed to change one of the rear tyre on my RS at the end of last week. Went to jack the car up with the supplied jack. I wasn't able to as it catches on sill. End up having to use another jack to get the wheel off.

Has anybody else come across this issue?

Man! The jack is for raising the car, use the brace to get the wheel off :biggrin2:

Thereare specifc jacking points on the car denoted by indented arrow signs on the side skirts where the have recessed sections the boot jack fits into without it cause damaage or slipping off. Otherwise if you look underneath there are 4 rubber mounts on the underside of the car where Audi jack the car in workshop which also conveniently fit on trolley jacks and are far more secure.

Thanks for the reply. I have used the jacking point that you have described. The problem is when the jack gets to the point where it should lift the car it starts to snag on the outside of the skirt. I ended up using the sissor jack from my a4 to remove the wheel.

I noticed the pads under the car and wondered if they were jacking points.
