S3 vs RS3

Post by Daytona3 » Wed Jan 16, 2013 1:59 pm

Although, this might be obvious to some, can anyone answer me this question? why would one go for an RS3 as opposed to an S3? How would one be better off?

Is the RS badge just about 0 to 60 times ? Putting aside all the number crunching and statistics, how does the RS stand out?

Cheers :)

Drive both and see what you think. Doesn't matter what anyone says on here it is your personal choice.

Everything about the RS3 is better than the S3, performance, handling looks etc etc.

Think Escort XR3i and Cosworth!

Bit of a strange question really as I always think they are chalk and cheese, or are you just trying to justify the extra £10k!!!

S3 owners are young drug dealers, RS3 owners are middle aged men.

to gilford - well to be honest yes... I saw the cabin interiors of the S3 and started wondering....so yes - i was trying to justify the 10k difference... that is all.. am still buying the RS3
to nickyboy - I am not a young drug dealer nor a middle aged man... although man I am :) so where does that put me? :)

To be serious though. If I had the choice of S3 or RS3 it has to be the RS3. It's just more raw and aggressive. It's just turned up in every way performance wise and exterior has more beef and presence to it. These differences for me anyway make me love the RS3 and not really care less about an S3.

The RS3 is more exclusive as well. S3's are everywhere. If you can afford it I'm sure you'll buy the RS if you test both. However the new S3 does look pretty impressive.
