How will you 'enhance' your RS3?

Just curious as to what people have planned if anything to improve on their RS3? Mine will be a gradual process and I am fighting the urge everyday to have the Forge intercooler done ASAP but here is my list;

Pipercross airfilter - done
Milltek 2nd cat bypass - done
Forge Intercooler - Next
Better summer tyres!
LED interior and exterior lights
Larger ARB's (not sure on H&R, hoping Hotchkis and Eibach will have sorted themseves out by the time I come to do mine)
Remap (not sure who yet)
S-tronic remap
APR Haldex Controller
Loba Discs and stainless steel lines (when OEM ones are done)

And that's about it I think. Am I missing anything? I'm not going bigger turbo because once it is at 420+ bhp and same on torque I think that would be fast and usable enough for me.

Michelin ss's and Forge.....dithering over the intercooler though as concerned over warranty.

Waiting on Akrapovic to come up with a work of art for the RS3. Had one for the M5 and it made the car.....no sign yet though for the 3 :-(

I was under the impression it was a company car rather than a lease purchase?

Ditto on the tyres or Goodyears; as for the Forge IC as I see it all it does is lower temps so the turbo doesn't work as hard and more power is gained. I don't see what adverse effect it could have on the system and is plug and play so worst case I take it off before it goes in for warranty work if that was part of the system at fault. The only bit I wantyed to know if whether it covers much of the radiator behind it but in theory because the air is flowing through the IC it will still get to the rad. albeit that section of the main rad. the air may be a little warmer.

Having not been in a company car scheme for years I'm not up on what is what now so fair do's however I gather you can't do much to it either?

No point in DK doing anything to it as he will probably have something else in 6 months, if not less. Maybe a new RS6?!

The amount of cars you go through it seems you change the car when it needs cleaning.

It's normally when the windscreen washer runs out

From an Engineer's perspective, and I suspect from Audi warranty department's too.....Any increase in power output means that, bottom line, cylinder combustion pressures have been increased.

Bigger bangs, that's what more power comes from.

Cooler, denser, intake charge by means of increased intercooling means more power through increased combustion pressure.

Increased combustion pressures/more power means more stress, both mechanical and thermal, on powertrain components so I strongly suspect that Audi's warranty engineers would blow any powertrain claim, involving engine clutch flywheel gearbox and driveshafts, straight out of the window.

Unless the intercooler was an 'Audi Approved' mod of course.

In case of a claim...Ten minutes with the spanners and 'What's an intercooler???' :bigblink:
