They look superb. bam_bam told me to get these for my rs6 but I thought they looked pants, you have now changed my mind.

i am really happy with them, double so when you consider how cheap they are

the stopped bidding on the last 2 sets of genuine RS3 wheels on ebay when they hit £1500 :( These with tyres fitted came in at just under £1000 :biggrin2:

Managed to get some pics sorted out this morning;

They do exactly what the brief was which was reasonably stylish / OEM look , cheap (£850 all in including tyres) and easy to clean.

Looks great PG, but where's the little mud flap thing on the rear bumper?

It's there, just low light when I set off this morning so you can't make it out at all.

Winter Wheels And Tyres

Post by Dave_Hedgehog » Wed Dec 05, 2012 1:24 pm

Well there's a bit of luck

Snowed this morning and our road was covered in frozen rain

I slipped getting in the car, but the tyres gripped like it was a dry road, bloody impressive

Yep, amazing isn't it, I left the traction control on but gave it a couple of squirts where I could, didn't see the traction control flash once, didn't feel it slip once! I followed a brand new fwd A5 coupe for a while with huge alloys, 19s I think, useless in ice and snow on summer tyres, it tip-toed round a tight roundabout slowly! Huge difference, if anyone is debating buying winters, do it, they are awesome!

We've got a few cms here on the Coast and the RS3 has just sailed along the roads with no hint of slip or slide. You really have to be agressive in your steering inputs for it not to grip and go in the direction you want. Tomorrow will be the big test when the roads will have frozen over. Why can Continental make such good winter tyres and such crap summer tyres? :bash:

I've just fitted a set of winters to my new Mazza , ( well Revoloution did) but it stayed at home today so didn't get a chance to try them out. I ordered a set for my van on Monday but they are not coming until tomorow, could have done with them tonight for the journey home, two hours to go 12 miles , what a nightmare.

Well I finally got the traction control on tonight, turning left from a roundabout, when the car was straight after I'd made my left turn I gave it full wack at the top of first into second the car squirmed a bit and the dash lit up. Snow on both verges, dash showing +1. Impressive stuff. Mental note that if one hits sheet ice, winter tyres cannot rewrite the laws of physics......

I've got a set of 4 18" Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 which I used to use on my TTS. Should these be compatible with the RS3?

I've got winter tyres on them, so they might be useful!

Get the trolley jack out mate!! Id they have been on a TTS before I'd imagine they'd be fine on an RS3. :thumbs:
