2015 RS3 - now with confirmed pictures

The thing is its sooooooo far away from being even slightly pimped that it looks like a diesel A3 with some option wheels. Sorry, but that's <beep>. Ceramics 5k and buckets 2.5k give or take.

Given the competitors including those in the VAG stable it's a poor effort. Golf R for the cheaper option, Cayman for similar or slightly more.

I did actually ask the guy at Southend Audi about the lack of wide rear arches, apparently when speaking to one of the designers he was told that the wider rear bumper and side skirts were made to compensate...

I looks like the arches are the same as my old S3. This really looks crap. I reckon the S3 looked better. You buy an S car to be under the radar, the RS should stand out.

I'd like to see a pic of this next to an S3.

Looks are important and no matter how good it drives, this does not look like an rs car.
Most likely i will go for another rs6 c7, instead!

I'm in a bit of a quandry now.

the new RS3 was ticking a lot of boxes for me, Noise, practicality, size but the looks are just not convincing enough at the moment.

I probably will get one though as there is not much else out there to compare. 2.0l engines just don't do it for me (ie A45).

The RS4 would be good but this year I might be moving and that would add another 5k miles to the commute so am sort of ruling that out at the mo.

Audi just want more sales and are making the RS sub-brand more mainstream, so instead of making the RS3 appeal to hardcore existing punters by making it look more like the Clubsport they've softened it off to make wimps want to buy it - and there are more wimps than hardcore punters.

Oooohhh the noise though...the first vid must be a non standard exhaust as that car has a roll cage inside and a recaro seat with harnesses, which you can see in the last vid and the car looks a bit better too

So it looks like Audi will continue the trend of the B8 RS4 and C7 RS6 by charging you to put less boxes / silencing in the exhaust...

If that's the sports exhaust then I'm pretty much sold, the blue car in the vids does have a 'bit' of presence in the arches.

My local dealer has told me they need a £1K deposit to get in on the first orders, what do ya reckon ?!
