Presumably the Haldex bares a resemblance to that in the Mk5 R32/8P S3 so isn't exactly new tech - or maybe that's it? It's not been beefed up over these 250/265 PS cars?
If it required beefing up then that would have shown up in a few hard miles or laps, but maybe there wasn't time to include it in the test schedule?
A few years ago while working for an automotive consultancy I destroyed a pre-production engine that had gone through all of the manufacturers test schedule, but that schedule didn't include running for more than a few seconds above 4000rpm and hadn't discovered that there was insufficient oil feed to number 3 cylinder main bearing - so I lunched it in one lap of a fairly short test track!
