Just to confirm I have had the £18 anti-squeal shimss fitted to my car for the last 2000 miles (2 months) and have had no squealing :bigwave:

It does work.

I've managed to persuade her that you guys say audi are sorting it at factory level and a solution will be forthcoming shortly! I agree that shims sound like the answer but am reluctant to do anything non-OEM just yet. Meanwhile I've said she can use my Range Rover until it's sorted, so I get to use the RS3 full time (maybe Not such a rush for a fix after all!). I have even started to find the squeal quite nostalgic, it reminds me of my old 993 GT2, the one I wish I"d kept, which used to squeal horrendously (though it could be forgiven!)
