Or maybe someone will break in as they can't see that actually there's nothing for them to steal?
Yep, what Dave said. Looks like you are hiding something with tinted windows.

wont cover mods

elephant there sister company will insure remaps

erm.... Admiral do cover mods. all mods on my RS4 are covered and have been for the last two years as is my RS3. Certainly on a multi-car policy.
i only have a single car policy, they refused to cover a remap :(

Seems odd that they would cover mods on multicar but not on single. Wonder what the rationale for that is?

I have a single car policy with Admiral and there was option for them covering remaps. In fact I got a quote via compare the market and Elephant were cheaper so I phone Admiral and they asked for the reference so they could match it through their system. They have the same It by the sound of things to me.

Well, Admiral consider all factory fitted options to be 'standard' so no additional cost. They were less than half the price that Direct Line wanted!

Admiral renewal quote in post £675
Gocompare Admiral number 1 £297 - remap declared
On phone Admiral paid £367 - remap % increase to 11-25%

Scandalous

If you mean standard UK spec then yes but anything you have added as as extra cost option needs to be declared to Admiral e.g. say if you had the BOSE sound sytem, or cruise etc etc. They will then charge you an additional premium for these items but will not replace them if you car iss tolen/total write off. It is one of the many sharp practices that Admiral engages in.

I'm always careful to declare the full specification, and made sure the agent noted them on my account. :)

They were clear that factory-fit items aren't considered to be modifications.
