RS 3 - Drag Racing Times

Post by CH3OH » Wed Sep 26, 2012 8:15 am

Hi guys,

I have been registered here since 2005 :bigwave: . I enjoy reading this forum, but have not posted here in years.
Anyway I was wondering if any of you guys have tuned your RS3's, and have you guys run the cars down the drag strip ?

Here is my story ;
I have a RS 3, tuned by REVO, decatted OEM dp, Milltek Catback Exhaust, Piper cross Intake, Devil's Own WMI and H&R coilies.
I have run 11.6 seconds @ 119 mph last weekend.

Looking forward to hearing you guys modding stories.

Ciao

Super quick. Not too many of us have bitten the bullet yet. Probably due to warranty fears etc. There's a fair bit of cash tied up in my car and if something went wrong that wasn't covered I'd be gutted.

Keep us up to date and looking forward to hearing more about the mods people will no doubt get more involved in as time goes by.

Same here, I've coughed up for a five year warranty I'm not about to risk it, especially after Dave's episode!

I think Dave's experience has made as all think hard about warranty issues I booked in at MRC for next week but after reading Dave's & a guy from another forum (Tailpipe) who had the gearbox fail after 1500 miles I've decided to put a few more miles on mine and probably look at getting a remap next year if everything is still running smoothly although reading the 1st post they are very impressive figures and does make you feel as if we should be getting more out of these great Cars
They is quite a few guys off the TT forum who have had trouble free TT-RS's since remaps and even stage 2 & 3 Tuning so I think everything should be ok but you still can't help worrying about £40K's worth of Car with no warranty
