The RS5 used the same DRC system as the RS4 B8, less problematic than the B7, but still prone to be expensive to fix in the event of failing. Not many reported issues around the 5 on this forum, but worth considering.

My RS5 had an issued with warped rear disc, which dealer sorted. Could not find any info on this being common so more likely just a 1 off.

The B&O system front dash tweeters both failed on my car - 3 months apart.
With regards to engine and power train, its the same as in the 4 B8, and pretty solid.

Good luck!

Thank you for your help much appreciated. May have found one that looks rather nice it’s a couple grand over priced but I can work on that. Noticed in your previous cars Aston Martin Vantage 2006 I also have my eye on a 2007 one decent price and nice colour. Am guessing they daft money to run or are they not too bad out of curiosity lol 😂

That era of Aston did 2 things really well: Look awesome. Sound Awesome (inside and out).

As a driving experience it was OK, a real head turner. Mine was the 4.3 litre V8 (380BHP) rather than the later 4.7 which was a little more powerful and more refined.
BUT - servicing cost was huge, but I had AM dealer warranty to tied to them. £1k for a 12 month service. Hate to think what it would have cost if there was an issue and no warranty. Fuel - low 20's anyway you drive.
It was a box ticked for me and I would not have changed that at all as had a spare £40k to play with at that time.
I threw money at the sound system and upgraded to be able to plug in an iPOD (it was 2010!) - the B&O system in the car was fibre optic based and amazing.
To mix that with a Volvo based Sat nav was chalk and cheese.

So, in summary - do it!
