Pilot Super Sports. Anyone using them?

Post by Noyjatat » Fri Jul 10, 2015 3:46 pm

Going to be changing my tyres soon and looking to change to PSS. Interested to see some pics of any fitted 275/30/20 to see how much wheel protection they give.

On what width (and design) wheel?

I've got 255/35 MPSS on my S8 20" FE wheels, which are 8.5J. Rim protection is pretty good and the tyres are excellent.

Should be pretty good then, an extra 20mm tyre width but only 13mm wider wheel.

Yeah not too worried about the size just trying to see what sort of overhang the tyres will have in their tyre wall. Always difficult to tell as all tyres are generally different even from size to size.

Only just changing now but no one seems to have a set fitted on their RS5.

Or not. Got an email this morning saying actually they didn't have them in stock. That's the second company to do that. Really struggling to find four tyres locally. May have to go with something else after all.

I bought mine online, I think from Oponeo. Came over from mainland Europe in 48 hours. 8)

Just had a look. They don't have any either. So if PSS aren't an option what should I go for?

I'd definitely try to find somewhere that sells them for a reasonable price. If you can't get hold of them and need something quick, PS2's would be my next tyre of choice.

Looks like they don't make them in a 275 30 20.
