Re: An RS5 build thread
Well the grill has been changed to gloss black and the silver window trim has been replaced with gloss trim too.
Visually its starting to blend in with other A5's now

Yep, nice improvement!
Where did you get your windows done? Same place as last time?

Re: An RS5 build thread
In the end I bit the bullet and got them done at Audi Mike. Cheers guys yep she may begin to blend in but there's no doubting there's a V8 under the bonnet with the new exhaust. Nearly skint again now but payday Friday. On a plus note when I bought the car it had squealing brakes which I mentioned to the guys I bought it from. I had a look at the discs and pads and all seemed fine so figured it had been sat for a while and just needed some use. 800 miles later and it has faded but not gone so took it back to Audi. They have said it needs all new discs and pads due to scoring and the guys at Proveeda (who I bought it from) are covering all the costs no problem. Great bunch there and well worth a look if your thinking of buying soon especially as they source whatever your looking for car and spec.
Lowering springs on tomorrow so more pics by the weekend
Any questions about anything feel free to ask.

Re: An RS5 build thread
Well just dropped the car in at AMD for the lowering springs to be fitted. Now got to kill time for the rest of the day. Was going to go to Lakeside and have a wander round but passed the Vue Cinema on the way past and now sat the only one in the theatre ready to watch How to train your dragon 2 followed by Lucy. It's gonna be a good day
Re: An RS5 build thread
Nice one gaz, you sat on the back seat doing a reach around on yourself
Re: An RS5 build thread
Your so wrong buddy, lowering the tone like that!

Re: An RS5 build thread
Yeah come on, it must be ready by now.
Re: An RS5 build thread
Will post some tomorrow. It looks a lot meaner than my RS4 in black did. Its great, has improved the handling and today on a roundabout with a bit of extra right foot the back end broke out a bit to make things interesting for me. Now wondering if I should have got one with the buckets but didn't want them for the interior look I want on this one.
Re: An RS5 build thread
Come on gaz it's 11.30 I'm on the train up to London in a while and I want some pics to look at
Re: An RS5 build thread
Hold your horses you, so impatient Its only a bit lower in ride height
Okay so will post the original photo, the trim photo and the suspension done photo all side views and then some other angles of the car with them fitted.

Looks great with the springs
Looks a little less like a 2.0TDI black edition FWD now, but only a little
Needs VSpokes

Re: An RS5 build thread
Cheers DK, seen them on and with black and they are not for me. Got a different route planned although should still be Audi OEM wheels.
So next week I have the chrome exhaust ovals to fit and the grill surround and mirrors to be black wrapped. Should be in in for a cold start quiet mode and map tweak too. Then for the rest of the month I need to sort out some squeaky brakes and will be hitting Trups up for an RS5 LED light set as the one on the RS4 I got from him was a great addition. After that I need to save for the larger changes to the car. New wheels some exterior spraying (High Gloss Black) to change the look of the dull black plastic components like the rear subtray and rear bumper hexagon section and thats the exterior finished. Engine bay changes with some hydro dipping and cap swaps and that should take me to the end of the year. With a service thrown in next month too.
That will leave me with one big cost planned job to do, the interior and one potential job for the future, supercharging. But will give that some time to see how the cars hold up to that, so plenty of time and I will need a bigger piggy bank for all those pound coins.
