RS5 Cabriolet

I have had the new cab for about six weeks now and love it.
I was worried about the elephantine depreciation bill incurred by buying new, but driving in this weather takes the pain away. I was thinking about buying second hand early next year to save mullah but thankfully there is no cognitive dissonance about my purchase.
It is surprisingly rare, I have seen more new model R8's than RS5 cabs in fact I've only seen one RS5 coupe' in London.
The sound is wonderful, could be a tad more in the decibel department but for now I keep it permanently in Sport mode.
It elicits a benign attitude from other motorists and I find I am let in when waiting at junctions in traffic jams - people smile and sometimes give it the thumbs up.
Talking about smiling - my face still aches when I'm driving....

Good timing David - what a Summer to own a soft top. I'm jealous you have a cab and an R8 coupe :beerchug:

If I add the sun cream and petrol bills together, a weekend's driving cost would get me a return ticket to Ibiza. But I would rather be in me mow-tar.

Lol the work horse, Mondeo has gone in for some TLC after it failed its MOT lol.

Done about 4 tanks this week lol and had my iPod adaptor added on and wow my Bose system has life.

Need to be inventive with my fuel claim.

I had it down as a cert to get another RS4 Cab this summer, but I just could not find the right car at the right money :bash:
I still haven't seen a RS5 Cab on the road yet - alphamail pics please!

If you need a 4 seat Cab, there's not much else that offers that noise, 400ish brake, with the flare of those arches especially for only c.£20k. Increase the budget and you get a few discerning choices but at c.£20k the RS4 Cab is a bargain
(Infact E10EAN, I'm sure I enquired about your car earlier in the year when it was on Pistonheads, we were going to be too far apart on price - liking the V spokes btw )

I wonder if the reduced numbers of RS5 Cabs will hold for better residuals over time compared to the 4 Cab?

Max

Hi Max

Thanks for your offer

In the end i just thought f11ck it and enjoy and that's what I am doing.

She is on 17k now and the exhaust is getting louder and really starting to enjoy it and go crazy on jet wash cleaning stuff and wheels etc.

It's a cool toy to have and started saving my pennies, for a R8 V8 Spyder in a couple of years.

DK was that in the auto trader ? By the images it looked amazing and the specs cool as well.
