Options?

Post by gilford » Mon Jun 17, 2013 9:10 pm

Considering selling my RS3 soon and an RS5 may be on the cards for the rest of the summer :)

What options are on these and what are the "must have's"?

Looking around they are as rare as the RS3, less than 20 available and even less within my budget, nice to know what is the ideal spec :)

We just bought a A5 sportline Quattro 2.0tfsi as a project car ... We have developed 2 oem+ turbo upgrade kits a 330+ and 380+ stage was released few weeks back. This hp and less weight of the 2.0 motor = i think faster and better handling and big price difference over rs5 . Ok is not a rs5 but maybe another option to think about? http://www.loba-motorsport.com/shop/audi/a5/2.0-tfsi/

Next stage is also under way, we expect to be 450-500 hp

Thanks Si, but I'm not really in to spending thousands modifying cars, I'd rather standard.

Must be my old age!

D_K what options did you have on homer? Is the steering/dynamic thing standard? What about sports exhaust?

My cabrio is nearly fully loaded.
If you are really interested I'd be happy to send you its Audi configuration code via PM and I am happy to
The sports package is good although I think I will opt for an after market exhaust in a year or two.
The special paint - I think is called panther black and is superb.
I bought the only high spec cabriolet I could find so I didn't spec it myself (delivery dates were post Summer) - I inherited the brushed aluminium trim which I think looks a bit pikey.
Advanced key - I don't read instruction manuals I can't really see the point - I'm sure there is one?
I wanted, but didn't get the garage door opener because I have a bunch of remotes like barnacles on my key ring for gates and doors and its a pain.
V spoke 20 wheels look great also they are different from the standard which although they look great - every new car will have them. The 5 spoke are an absolute pain in the arse to wash.
