Its expensive.

Buy it for £45k

Walk into a dealer the following week and ask for a trade in price.

They'll tell you £35k

Buy any car and the same thing will happen dealers are in the business to make money, what I'm saying is imo ask for a discount and this car doesn't need anymore money spending on it as its already got the right options.

RS5 is absolutely fine with children. I used to have an RS5 Coupe and it was very practical. I am now going back to an RS5 (cab this time) from my R8. My children are 8 and 12.

Big boot and big back seats. The front seats motor forwards and it is a good system for access to the back seats to get in.

Interesting isn't it. Clearly opinions at both ends of the spectrum. Only way to find out is to give it a go.....

I had a deposit down way way back for RS5, but we binned it off as soon as child was on it's way as the boot was impactical for getting a pram in and out of and putting child into a car seat was a ball ache. We went RS6 instead.

Good point. I guess it depends on the age of the children. As mine are 8 and 12 it is a great car for them.

Prams/buggies/travelcots in the boot and getting little ones into car seats etc makes it a more difficult proposition - the same with nearly all 2 door cars. Far from impossible though.

The RS5 is a school bus compared to the R8.
I have 7 year old twins and they are very happy in the back of the cabriolet. They never asked me to take them to school in the R8 - funnily enough every morning they ask if I can take them they love it so much.
I am 6'3'' so the driver's seat is almost all the way back.

About what you're used to I guess. I have room for a load more crap in the garage now I've replaced the 6 with a 4. It's noticably smaller inside, the good wife mentioned as much as soon as she got in.
