Newbie

Post by northernpar » Thu Dec 29, 2011 3:58 pm

Finally got round to trading in the RS4 for an RS5 and pick it up next Thursday. :D

Was the Aberdeen Audi manager's car so nice colour and decent options. Just need to stay incident free for the next week and find a way of gently breaking the news that I've just bought a £56k car to the missus!

Look forward to future postings and all the pain and joy that these may bring.

Hi Graeme
I am from Aberdeen and also made the change from owning an RS4 Saloon for 3 years to the RS5 and have had no regrets, mine is also Sepang Blue so I will keep an eye out for you.

Seen a couple around Aberdeen but not many, white seems to be a popular colour but always liked the blue with the titanium look 20" wheels.

Looking forward to picking it up next week and if the test drive was anything to go by I won't have any regrets either. The S-Tronic will take a little getting used to after the manual for 3+ years but looking forward to the auto mode when commuting through traffic.

nice one, did you get a good trade in price for the RS4?
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

£23,500 for a 57 plate saloon in Misano red with 40k on the clock plus a bit knocked off the RS5. Didn't seem like a bad deal to me when compared with similar model prices on the forecourt or private sale. The RS5 was already £10k lower than original price and 3 months old with 1500 on the clock.

Overall I'm happy with the overall position which is the main thing!

Best of luck with your new wheels; I am sure you will love it. I have also come from the RS4 as well and although I am selling mine (for personal reasons) I think its a step up from the RS4.
