RS5 Milltek - Fantastic

Hi,

I am new to the forum, so please excuse me if I get anything wrong.

I have had a RS5 since early November 2010, what a great car, except for the exhaust sound..!!

I have a R8, now that sounds fantastic, but the RS5 just does not come close even with the optional sports exhaust.

I have been in talks with Milltek about a new system for my car. They had not developed an exhaust for the car and it was agreed that they used my car as the donor for a new exhaust system.

So last Wednesday I went to Derby and spent some time with them while they developed the exhaust system. Wow what a result, the car now sounds fantastic especially in manual or auto mode.

I have to take it back in 2 weeks time to have them check everything over before they release for sale.

If anyone wants any info please let me know.

Thanks for the info and I would be interested to hear more. I might consider the milltek on my RS5. I have the sports exhaust on the RS5 and it does sound pretty good as it is - although I guess it could be better. Pretty loud as standard sports exhaust though - people turn heads and some people in my village are not amused (especially the boom when the car changes down a gear outside our village pub on a corner hehe).

I have had quite a few millteks on various Audis before, fitted by AmD who I rate highly.

can you hear a difference in sound with valve in confort mode or dynamic xhen driving or only when at a stop (idleing as OEM)...

do you have a video, of outside the car and how the milltek sounds would love to hear the difference! what kind of exhaust did they fit, non-res, res?

Hi,

I am going back to Milltek on 27th for them to do full diagnostics etc. They are going a video and pics. if I can get a copy I will post on here.
The system is resonated and sound absolutley great especially when you give a push, however when cruising it is as quite as the OEM system.
It has made my car alive, as I had been a little disapointed with the sound especially as I drive an R8 as well.
