RS5 on Fifth Gear...soon

Post by neckarsulm » Fri Sep 24, 2010 8:34 pm

Just heard today that Fifth Gear will be driving an RS5 to Norway in a couple of weeks where Johnny Smith will be driving it along the Atlantic Highway and concentrating on all the technology within.
Not sure when it will be broadcast but the competition car that week will be an RS2!

Turns out it's not the Atlantic Highway any more but the Alps.
They go over the highest Alpine pass, it's not a really famous one.

A pretty shallow in detail and poor test drive of the RS5 IMO. My RS4 could do as well as that on that road and is about a 1/3 of the price!

Still nowhere near convinced enough to trade in what I have now.

That CAR mag review was weird. They either couldn't work out the RS5's settings or were on the worst potholed roads in the world. There are loads of opposite reviews out there.

Take a look at this

My black RS5 arrives 1st March and I can't wait

Agree with P_G.

Not worth the cash at >£60K! The black coupe at ADI was £67K.

Have a go in a GTR back to back and see what you should spend your money on.

How to lose friends and alienate people......image is important when it comes to choosing a car, but is it the overriding consideration and if it is, what does it say about us?

Steady on old boy, Sussex has Creepy Crawley which will out do anything Essex has to offer!

I too am an Essex resident and for a while was keen to step into an RS5...but the fannying around led me to the RS6 which, as it turns out has been the better bet. Family barge.

Oddly though I've had two offers of RS5s in the last week.....

For what it's worth GTR not for me either.
