Just put name down for new RS5..

Post by kam100 » Fri Aug 03, 2007 6:00 pm

Have been discussing this with a load of Audi dealers, bashing around speculative dates etc, so went ahead today and ordered two RS5's for anticipated late 08/early 09 delivery...

Have an M3 Manual arriving spec confirmed early nov, and a MDCT box'd M3 arriving in March 2008, so RS5 will come along at the right time really.. can't wait already, rumoured to have 450 bhp.. all speculation right now, but its going to be good whatever it is.. will this forum change to www.rs2456.com then? and will there be a new bit on the forum?

:D
On Order: Audi RS5 4.2 V8 Est 450bhp? 08/09?

Bmw 335d Coupe 56/06 & Merc S320 L CDI 56/06

Previous: Audi RS4 B7 06, Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, All the E46's.. Coupe/Cab/Saloon.

Will introduce an RS5 thread, not too sure about the name change though.....lol, cost a fortune to have all the stickers reprinted :bigblink:
I submitted a letter of intention, when production is confirmed and spec done, then I will know I have an order, my dealer thinks it is at least 18 months away.. :boots: :boots:

I've been driving an S5 that I've been lent whilst my latest B7 Avant is registered - it is 354BHP so not as quick as the RS4 but not slow either. The best bit is the keyless entry - boy I wish that had been a RS4 option - it is fantastic! Anyway, it is a really nice car and I guess that the RS5 will be a great bit of kit.

I had a test of the S5, I like the new toys (including the keyless entry), liked the car, liked the looks, just wasn't quite there for me...

Needs a shot of adrenalin to make it just that little bit more special :-)

I would be very tempted if they deliver one :-)

Eer Why?.
Because Audi have moved away in a different direction and gone N/A....... perhaps you missed the lack of turbos on the RS4 and R8?????

Obviously it would have been beeter to still have them like the RS4 B5 - on the 4.2 engine it would mean 591 BHP standard (the 2.7 was 380BHP) but I believe there is not enough room. :audibash:
