Question is, is this car true to the S/RS ethos?
I guess only time will tell.

Perhaps the TT forum is a better place for this car . . .

Why would we discriminate?

If Audi badge it S or RS, IMO it has to be here.

I am taking it for granted these models have exterior, interior, machanical and engine differences to warrant the badging as per the rest of our cars. ~270BHP from a 2 litre engine with forced induction sounds S to me.

Fair enough previous TT models have not featured here, but I don't see why they shouln't now if the S and/or RS versions surface.

The R8 section is possibly more controversial in my view. This is not an S or RS model of an existing Audi, it's a specific model of it's own, yet we still find room for it and don't feel the need it is best left to specialist forums.

I really think it will be a bad call to exclude the TT.

Not a bad car , but is it good enough to be a different car to the S3.

In my eyes its just an S3 with a dress on.

The TT now looks like a decent car, not the upturned tin bath style of the old one.

It needs performance to match....said to be 33k but I bet with all the bits you want its nearer to 40k... then it should piss rings round a Porsche Cayman.

I've voted no, but feel its just going to be a bit of a non-event, not bad but not great either, if the RS version is made then it will be too dear no doubt. Like the RS4 ..it may be a super car but at 50k it is silly money in reality....

IMHO the TT forum is the place for it, as there is a very strong community there, several of us are still active posters in that forum and I am not sure what RS246 can offer over and above what is there... :?

The TTS community here may not ever grow as strong as the existing TT forums, but I think excluding the TTS from the RS246 forums will say something very wrong about the site.

Oh dear..I jumped on my soapbox a bit too quick... I voted No as I meant about the car not its place on this site...DOH

Well why not if it is an S or RS then it should be on OK is not a 2, 4 or 6 , but neither is the S8 or R8 or the S5 so yep why not...Oh and I will read the question a bit better next time..

+1

My mate has a TTS. We went for a spin in it and i was actually very suprised at how good a drive it was. Pretty quick through the whole rev range too.
Its defo a big improvement on the bog standard TT so the S is warranted in my opinion. Let em stay!!
