I started a similar thread on the S4 forum - what would the guys who know recomend as their top 5 mods for the sublime S6?

I cant get much of a gague from the previous threads about what it desirable / possible while still keeping the car an everyday road machine except for map and exhaust.

I am thinking along the lines of modified intake like the JHM S4 manifold / better flowing downpipes to go with an exhaust / uprated bushes and suspension options and alloys ...

an ECU remap (still unsure who fitted it )

all fitted by previous owner.

Uprated RS 6 anti roll bars? My old RS6 plus arbs with about 40k on them are sitting in my garage getting in the way, make me an offer.

I was about to say the same, good call. Get an rs6 exhaust too, should be able to pick one up cheap enough.

I love how straight away the best mod for an S6 is an RS6....lol
If i would have wanted even thirstier car then yes i would have bought one...
i had the same GTS-T versus GTR Mentality on the skyline forums.....

I've had a C5 S6, and the fuel economy is no better than an RS 6, if anything - it's a little worse. Who buys a 4.2 V8 performance car with fuel costs in mind anyway.

If you bought an S6 over an RS6 just cause of 2-3 mpg, you my friend are a fooooooooooool.

The C5 S6 isn't more economical. The gearing was set up so it was always a hundred or two hundred more RPM higher than an RS6 at the same speed as it hasn't got the turbos to rely on if you need to pick up speed suddenly. It would do 2-3MPG less than an RS 6 sat at 70/80 MPH.

Er you're all missing the point, the thread is about mods for the S6...and for the record i did not start the thread.
Why not post something useful aside from "Buy an RS6"

I bought a LPG S6 so i dont have the problems with fuel prices so much.
As i said if i had wanted an RS6 i would have bought one, i have had enough of turbo cars, so the S6 was the obvious choice for a fast family car.

Nothing changes on car forums does it..

Nice RS 6 in your avatar! Who are you kidding? You want an RS 6.

Seriously though, look at ARB upgrades. Hotchkis, H&R or RS 6 ones. They make a huge difference.

I am sure R23 will add it to his list of Mods.
Your RS6 is very nice, however i like my S6, as it ticks all the boxes.
Anything faster and the wife won't drive it.

Thats not a bad thing you know I would suggest arb's, millteck and a map, oh and upgrade all old rubber bushes on suspension to new.
