Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but, is an RNS-E sat nav unit good as a direct replacement for an RNS-D?

I have the RNS-D unit fitted to my '99 A6 and was just wondering if the RNS-E unit would go straight in without the need for modification?

Cheers, Chris

You'll have to make some small mods (can wires & gps antenna amongst others), and get the RNS-E coded to your car with a Vagcom. OTher than that, it's fairly straightforward. Plenty of tutorials out there.
