Aspiring S6 owner

Hello!
Just though that I would make my presence known. I have one of these beasts on my shortlist to become the 'family wagon' as fatherhood aproaches.
I am hoping to get a late low milage model to replace the missus Polo (don't larf!) as my V5 golf is not finished yet.
Are there any major points that these are known for failing on that I should be wary of?
I am enjoying the thought of owning such a beast without the 'hey-look-at-me' of a lot of other stuff as I used to have a tweaked Saab 9000 Aero.
The key decider on this model was discovering that they have the Recaro's and the auto box - I had been looking out for the Allroad with Recaro's but they are as rare as rocking horse droppings, and seem to be more expensive than S6's (doh!).
