Hello All

Post by djcromie » Sun Apr 20, 2008 8:11 pm

Just wanted to say hello and I'm now part of the club, got my 2000 Goodwood Green S6 saloon with black/dark grey interior yesterday and I haven't stopped smiling, it rocks and its a bonus that the missus loves it too. It only has 74500miles, but everything works, the last owner even sorted new spark plugs and two new tyres before I got it.

Needs a good polish to sort some scratches but I don't mind that at all

Petrol will cost a bit, but its a small price for the entertainment value of the car

So there it is, happy days

Cheers

Mark

Forgot I had put these up on detailing world, thanks for the reminder golffather

Its got the black leather and dark grey alcantara interior with carbon fibre trim, standard bose stereo and the rest is standard. Nothing major planned, just a bluetooth phone kit, change the fog and side lights for something white, a K&N panel filter, touch up a few stone chips, polish the window and boot trims (they're a bit tarnished at the mo), wheels off for a good clean and paint the calipers and then a full machine polish. Just need the time now. Would love a milltek, rs6 boot spoiler and 19" rs6s, but they will have to wait. Anyways enough waffle

Pristine example mate, looks well looked after.

It seems they either came in silver (common), goodwood or black. Don't see many other colour combo's about if any at all.

What colour calipers? I'm also considering doing mine, probably silver or black.

Keep us updated on the progress....

Were there any in Nogaro?

There's a 4.2 Quattro Avant in Nogaro near me and it looks great. Any S6's in Nogaro?

that I am s7iffler, its well worth it you won't regret it....... got a couple of things sorted on my own yesterday, A/C regassed, nice cold air, small thing but was gettin on my nerves with the decent weather, got two new Goodyear F1 front tyres and the tracking sorted, was off a wee bit, but all is well now and then today fitted some new white foglights. Have the sidelights to do as well, but need a torx head screwdriver, does anyone know the size?? Just can't get my fingers in far enough with just the cover off....

That noggie S6 looks the business

Hi the sidelight bulbs are do able with just the covers off it just takes a bit of time. Its not that easy taking the headlights out I had to remove the front bumper to get mine out to fit hid main beams. The side light bulbs are easier to acess on a s6 than a normal a6 as the front of the car is a bit longer to fit that v8 in.
