Can anyone help me. I am looking for the towing capacity of the S6 avant. I have fount out the Kerb weight is 1815Kg. I need to know what the max nose weight and max towing capacity is.

Thanks to any owners that can look in their handbook for the info.

It is for the 4.2 V8 and not the V10 lambo engined version.

Hi I tow with my s6 avant towing limit is 2100kg and I think max nose weight is 85kg.
It makes an excellent tow car I useually tow about 1450kg (rally car on trailer) and you would hardly know its there.

Thanks Rallye. That is plenty for what I need. It is for towing a caravan (ducks and runs for cover) with max weight of 1600kg. Looks like i'll be on the lookout for a S6. Do Audi fit tow bars or is an indy specialist the better option

Hi I bought my westfalia towbar on ebay from towequipe http://stores.channeladvisor.com/towbar/Items/305245? a completely detachable type exactly the same as genuine towabar and got the electric kit from the dealer about £50 and fitted it myself.

These guys are good, i lived in the town they are based and have been at there store before, guy actually loves audis and hes got the new TT....very informative guy, would recommend them altho i havent bought anything of them as yet, but will be looking at getting a towbar myself im sure.
