0-60... What is it really?

Flicking through Evo this month, I spotted the S6. 4/5 stars it says; "Effortless speed, but outgunned by the M5" Of particular interest was the 0-60 time, which they quote as 5.9 seconds. The time is also in bold, indicating they actually achieved that time, rather than printing the manufacturers' claimed time.

Given that the "official" 0-60 time is 6.7 seconds, how do we account for this discrepancy?

Manufacture times are often 2 up, full tank of fuel and include the time taken to lay out the tartan rug
and pop in a mint imperial.
