Lower front grill replacement.

Post by TiTony » Fri Nov 14, 2008 9:48 pm

Hi,

It's the 4.2 fraud again I'm afraid.

Can anyone advise me whether it s possible to change the lower bumper grill without removing the bumper as it looks unbelievably tight to do it without doing so?

Cheers, Tony.

Hello

I've had mine off before.

Dead easy from what I remember, just two prong type things (one at either side) holding it in.

If you have a look, I think it's quite obvious. I'll have a look at mine later on just to refresh my memory (and correct myself if neccesary!)

It should be a simple "pull off" job. I used to do this on my 2001 A4 all the time... it was easier cleaned that way. Give it a really good pull at each side, it should pop off.

Thanks for the tip chaps,

I did work. I can't believe it's so easy to do. I hope this info doesn't go out to part thieves or they'll be nicking RS and S lower grill and selling them on ebay I bet!

Cheers again,

Tony
