Sticky windows - replacing the window guides.

Post by madcjd » Fri Jul 18, 2008 7:25 pm

Hi, apologies for all those who already know the fix for sticky windows!

But for those who don't...............................

The folllowing are 2 good weblinks with concise information on how to do, tools required and very helpful pictures:

The first relates to an A3, but is very similar to A4/A6 and probably many other cars too.

www.piglet-net.net/tech/cars/a3-window.html

The second, audiworld, is a great website and the "Tech Articles" section is fantastic!

www.audiworld.com/tech/

then go into "resources" - "Tech Articles" - "interior" then scroll down to A6 - window guide replacement.

Enjoy!

The part number I used, for my '99 A6, was 4B0 837 463B (2 of). They cost £4.47, for both, from Audi.

Hope this helps anyone with those annoying, awkard, sticky windows.
