MPG

Post by djcromie » Wed May 28, 2008 8:42 am

Alright so whats everyone gettin at the minute, I filled up last night, took 70litres and i'd only managed 210miles from full, so by my dodgy maths thats 13.65mpg.........

That was on my commute in and out of work thats 7miles each way with a mix of backed up dual carriage way and normally slow movin motorway. And I had a good bit of town driving to do as well.

But 210miles from full was pretty bad, before this tank it was usually around 300-350miles on a tank with a good long journey and spinning in and out of work.

I think the main problem might be the petrol, can only get 95RON in Ireland or E5 from Maxol thats 99RON but less efficient as it has a 5% ethanol mix. Might look into octane booster to see if that helps.

And petrol in Ireland is £1 a litre at the minute, so can't complain

Hi I'm getting about 18mpg in general running about mainly on A roads heading to the nearest town about 8 miles away. Thats on 95 petrol its better on 98 but not much.
I get about 22mpg on longer runs the best I've seen is 25.9mpg on a long steady run at 70ish the worst 4.5mpg (according to trip computer) at 155 on the autobahn.

Cheers

The best I got was 28.5mpg, according to the computer, on a 100mile run from Belfast to Dublin, was only at 60 the whole way as I had the missus following in the mini, she doesn't like speedin in the wee car.

155mph on the autobahn, I need to do that, tryin to talk the missus into a trip to Berlin over the summer with many excursions onto the autobahn, we'll see

cheers

Averaging around 19.5mpg, the best I've seen is around 27 but it doesn't last as the temptation to squeeze the right foot is too great ;)
