Took my 2012 S4 in for some potential warranty work today and was informed the car will be getting a software update.

Thought I'd let you know so you can check yours.

What was the warranty work? I have an s4 on order for delivery later this year...

The DIS twice told me the lights were out when they weren't. My steering wheel wasn't straight so that has been sorted. Also the leather in the door cards started to get this rippling effect. Apparently they will replace these though it seemed fine to me.

I currently have a poverty spec A4 2.0TDI and I must say it really isn't that nice. I'm guessing because I have an S4. This doesn't feel loads better than my old Octavia and considering the price difference I wouldn't buy one.

Nice fuel consumption though!

Can't wait to get the S4 back.

I had the light issue on mine, only happened once the day after I got it and all has been well since.

The software update is to sort this issue out mate.

That'll be because it runs on chip fat - a miserable energy source for miserable engines AFAIAC ! It will make the return of your S4 all the better however....

Having said that, I'd quite like to try one of the new Bi-Turbo 3.0 TDi's just to see what a good chip-fat-fryer fells like

I'd be very interested to hear your views on the A6, I was getting a bit worried that Audi had made a diesel that I may buy in the future!

My s4 is in for it's first service, I was loaned an A7 3.0 tdi, previously was given a Q7. Wouldnt accept a Boggo A4 tbh.

Next time I won't. Did they offer you those or did you ask?
